How do I check a speaker?
Check the exact model and firmware for AirPlay or Google Cast support, then verify discovery, playback and timing with SoundFerry. The examples below are a starting point, not a list of tested or certified devices.
Does SoundFerry stream directly over Bluetooth?
SoundFerry uses AirPlay and Google Cast network outputs. Direct Bluetooth streaming is not supported.
Can I combine AirPlay and Google Cast outputs?
Both output types can be selected. Check timing on your devices and use per-speaker delay adjustments where needed.
Why does a receiver ask for a code?
Some AirPlay receivers require a pairing code or password. Follow the receiver instructions and the pairing prompt in SoundFerry.
Can I adjust the timing between speakers?
SoundFerry provides a delay control for each speaker to help align playback. The result depends on the speakers and network. Use the trial to check your saved groups in the rooms where you listen.
What do I need?
macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, compatible AirPlay or Google Cast speakers on the same network, and administrator authentication to install the driver. The distributed PKG is for Apple Silicon.
