Sound controls for Mac audio sent to network speakers.
SoundFerry combines Mac audio routing with EQ for compatible AirPlay and Google Cast outputs. Choose your sound tools around where you listen.
Start with your output
If you listen through built-in speakers or headphones, look for an EQ tool that supports those outputs. For adjustment within one player, check that player’s sound settings.
SoundFerry focuses on network speakers. Select it as the Mac output to process audio from apps using that output and send it to the speakers you choose.
One place for routing and sound
Choose speakers, save groups and adjust the sound in the same app. The Sound tab includes 12-band parametric EQ, dynamics and effects.
The processing applies to audio routed through SoundFerry. Apps with their own output selection may need to be pointed to it separately. It does not apply an EQ to the Mac’s built-in speakers or headphones.
Check your listening workflow
Begin with a neutral setting and a familiar recording. Add effects gradually, keeping the output level comfortable.
SoundFerry is designed for buffered network playback. Allow several seconds for audio to reach the speakers; live instrument monitoring requires a different, low-latency route.
Questions
What can I adjust with the sound controls?
Use EQ to change the bass, midrange and treble, dynamics to control level changes, and reverb to add ambience. These controls process the audio sent to your selected speaker group.
How much delay is there?
Audio reaches the speakers a few seconds after it plays on your Mac. SoundFerry is designed for music listening; instrument monitoring, games and calls need a faster response. For video, check whether your player can compensate for audio delay.
What do I need?
macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, compatible AirPlay or Google Cast speakers on the same network, and administrator authentication to install the driver. The distributed PKG is for Apple Silicon.
