Why your Mac will not do this for WiiM
Route Mac audio to compatible WiiM receivers. Check the protocol supported by your exact model and try your network during the seven-day trial before purchasing.
The distribution PKG requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later. A 19 USD perpetual license includes 1.x updates. The 7-day trial needs internet access at start, after app restart and every 12 hours. Purchased licenses are verified offline.
WiiM models this works with
SoundFerry speaks plain AirPlay, so the rule is simply whether the device advertises it.
- AirPlay / Chromecast capable models — verify your exact device
Plus every other AirPlay device on the same network — the full list.
Before connecting
Check your exact model
Confirm AirPlay or Chromecast support in the device settings; a brand name alone does not establish compatibility.
Timing and delay
The default audio path has several seconds of latency. Speaker timing depends on the devices and network; per-speaker delay adjustment is available.
Shared audio processing
EQ, dynamics and reverb apply to the selected outputs as a group.
Setting it up
- 01
Install SoundFerry and restart the Mac once
It adds a Core Audio output device. macOS loads audio drivers at boot, so this restart happens on first install only.
- 02
Tick your WiiM devices
Everything on the network that advertises AirPlay is listed automatically. Some receivers require a pairing PIN or fixed password; discovery needs no IP address entry. Save the selection as a group and recall it in one click.
- 03
Press Start
They come up together, with per-device timing adjustments, with a live status row showing frames captured, sent and dropped.
- 04
Set the Mac's output to SoundFerry
System Settings › Sound › Output, or Option-click the volume icon in the menu bar.
- 05
Tune it
Open the Sound tab and shape the 12-band EQ, or start from a preset. Listen after the buffering delay before making another change.

WiiM questions
Which models can I use?
Route Mac audio to compatible WiiM receivers. Check the protocol supported by your exact model and try your network during the seven-day trial before purchasing.
Do the speakers actually stay in sync?
SoundFerry manages playback across selected speakers. Timing depends on the devices and network; SoundFerry provides per-speaker delay adjustment. Try your speaker combination before purchasing. No fixed synchronization accuracy is guaranteed.
Does it work with Spotify, YouTube and everything else?
Select SoundFerry as the macOS audio output to send audio from apps using that output. No browser extension is required. Apps that use a separate output need their own output setting adjusted.
How much delay is there?
The managed default audio path adds several seconds of delay. It is intended for listening rather than live instrument monitoring, gaming or video calls. Video playback may need delay compensation.
How much is it, and is it a subscription?
19 USD buys a perpetual license for version 1.x. Updates such as 1.0 to 1.1 are included. Version 2.x requires a separate purchase, with pricing not yet decided. There is no subscription. Other currencies are converted from the USD price.
What is in the free trial?
The trial lasts seven days and requires no payment card. An internet connection is required to start it, after restarting the app, and every 12 hours during use. The server manages expiry; changing the Mac clock does not extend it. Purchased licenses are verified offline.
What do I need?
macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, compatible AirPlay or Chromecast speakers on the same network, and administrator authentication to install the driver. The distributed PKG is for Apple Silicon.
