Why the cast button is not the answer
YouTube's own cast button targets one device, needs the site to support it, and moves thewhole video — so the picture leaves your screen too. That is right for putting a film on the television and wrong for a five-hour mix you want playing while you cook.
SoundFerry does not touch the page. It captures what the Mac is playing at the operating-system level and fans it out to every AirPlay speaker you picked. The tab keeps playing on your monitor. You keep scrolling. The kitchen keeps up.
The same applies to Twitch, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, a radio stream, a Zoom recording, or anything else a browser can play.

Questions
Can Chrome or Safari AirPlay to more than one speaker?
No. A browser hands its audio to whatever the system output device is, and that is one device. Some video sites offer an AirPlay button for the video itself, but that targets a single receiver — usually an Apple TV.
Sending a tab's sound to several speakers has to happen at the output-device level, which is where SoundFerry sits.
Will the video and audio still line up?
No, and you should know that before you buy. AirPlay buffers roughly several seconds depending on settings and devices. For a music video, a DJ set, a lecture you are listening to rather than watching, or a live stream playing in the background, that is fine. For anything where you are watching lips move, it is not.
For those, use the video app's own AirPlay to a single Apple TV — it compensates for the delay because it controls both halves.
Does YouTube Premium or an ad-blocker change anything?
Neither matters. SoundFerry takes the audio after the browser has decoded it, so it is agnostic about what produced it.
Do the speakers actually stay in sync?
SoundFerry manages playback across selected speakers. Timing depends on the devices and network; SoundFerry provides per-speaker delay adjustment. Try your speaker combination before purchasing. No fixed synchronization accuracy is guaranteed.
Does it work with Spotify, YouTube and everything else?
Select SoundFerry as the macOS audio output to send audio from apps using that output. No browser extension is required. Apps that use a separate output need their own output setting adjusted.
What does the equalizer actually do?
Group-wide EQ, dynamics and reverb process the shared audio before it reaches the speakers. The same processing applies to every selected output.
How much is it, and is it a subscription?
19 USD buys a perpetual license for version 1.x. Updates such as 1.0 to 1.1 are included. Version 2.x requires a separate purchase, with pricing not yet decided. There is no subscription. Other currencies are converted from the USD price.
What is in the free trial?
The trial lasts seven days and requires no payment card. An internet connection is required to start it, after restarting the app, and every 12 hours during use. The server manages expiry; changing the Mac clock does not extend it. Purchased licenses are verified offline.
